Our year 7 - 12 Dance night in Week 7 was full of awesome costumes, great music and phenomenal dance moves. A big congratulations to all involved. Click through the below photos to see all the amazing performances from our students.
At the beginning of the year, the Coles Sport for Schools promotion was opened up to schools as a National initiative to help promote health and well-being and encourage physical activity for school kids. Coles partnership with RHSports has seen the contribution of millions of dollars of sports equipment to thousands of schools around the country. We set up collection boxes and received overwhelming support from parents, friends and the community alike. The collection period took place over a couple of months resulting in the contribution of 22,850 vouchers! The sporting equipment available ranged in its cost of vouchers depending on the item, with the input of the PE staff to address areas of need for school sport that would help benefit the greatest number of students. The equipment includes:
We look forward to our students being able to utilise this to help assist their health, well-being and involvement in sport. The Coles Sport for Schools is a great program and with your help we look forward to collecting more vouchers and equipment in 2019! In term 2 Charles Campbell College held the annual International Assembly. Special guests included Vince Tarzia MP, Darryl Carter from International Education and members of our school council. It was a great opportunity to highlight our Intercultural Understanding at our college.
International School Captains hosted the assembly and we heard from students who travelled to South Korea Study on a study tour, and students supporting Amnesty International . R-12 students performed dance and musical pieces from around the world. It was a fantastic event that really showcased the inclusivity of Charles Campbell College. Please click the slide show below to enjoy some photos from the day. Join our Year 12 Students for their Music Night this Thursday the 20th of September in the CCAT. This is a SACE performance so come along and support our wonderfully talented students. Curtain opens at 7:30pm and entry is a gold coin donation at the door.
