SENIOR SCHOOL
The form below is to be completed by a parent / caregiver.

Subject change(s) will only be approved in exceptional circumstances and:
  • All sections of the form have been completed correctly, including appropriate reasons for the requested subject change(s)
  • Year 10 and 11 requests are to be submitted no later than the end of the first week of the term for full-year core subjects, or the end of the first week of the semester for semester-long subjects
  • Year 12 changes are submitted no later than the end of Week 2 of Term 1 
  • There is room in the requested class, and the change doesn't unbalance class sizes
  • The new class dynamics do not negatively impact the learning environment
  • Any relevant Assumed Knowledge has been met (check subject information in the Curriculum Handbook)
  • Student timetables must align with specific year level requirements as listed below.
YEAR 10 CHOICES
Compulsory subjects
  • English / EAL (2 semesters)
  • Maths (2 semesters)
  • Science (2 semesters)
  • HASS (2 semesters)
  • EIF (1 semester)

Mainstream pattern - MUST ALSO INCLUDE:
  • 1 from the Arts
  • 1 from Technologies
  • 1 from Health or PE
  • 2 free choices

​ARFA pattern - MUST ALSO INCLUDE:
  • 2 semesters of ARFA
  • 1 from the Arts
  • 1 from Technologies
  • 1 free choice

PAA pattern - MUST ALSO INCLUDE:
  • 2 semesters of PAA
  • 3 free choices
YEAR 11 CHOICES
SACE compulsories
  • English / EAL (2 semesters)
  • Maths (2 semesters)
  • AIF (1 semester)
  • EIF (if not completed previously)
  • Capacity to complete 120 credits by end of year
YEAR 12 CHOICES
​SACE completion (without ATAR)
  • Equivalent of 3 x Stage 2 full year subjects
  • Assuming correct Stage 1 credits have been met
  • Assuming minimum 200 credits overall

SACE completion (with ATAR)
  • Equivalent of 4 x Stage 2 full year subjects
  • Assuming correct Stage 1 credits have been met
  • Assuming minimum 200 credits overall​
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. All parts of the form must be completed by a parent / caregiver. Your form will be submitted to the Head of Senior School, Melanie Laws.
  2. Students must continue attending the current subject until confirmation is received that the request has been approved and the subject has been updated on DayMap.
  3. Before completing this request form, students will need to check the following documents (available in the Senior School office or via the links below) to determine if a change is potentially possible:
  •  2025 Line Structure Timetable - will inform students when in the week the different lines occur
  • 2025 Lines Sheet - will inform students what subjects are available on each line.
