Learning a musical instrument has multiple benefits including developing memory capacity, time management, team skills, perseverance, coordination and links to improved numeracy and literacy outcomes. Students at Charles Campbell College have the opportunity to study a wide range of instruments including Classical and Modern Guitar, Trumpet, Flute, Clarinet as well as Piano, Voice, Percussion and Violin. Our ensembles perform within the College at performance nights as well as in the community at special events.
The 2020 Festival of Music will be held 31 August - 12 September in the Adelaide Festival Theatre. Three orchestras consisting of approximately 30-35 public school students will be formed to accompany the choir and perform featured orchestral items. Each orchestra is made up of a string, wind and rhythm section and rehearse at one of three locations, across the Metropolitan area. Orchestra is open to any Department for Education student who will be in Years 5-10 in 2020 (school does not need to be participating in the Festival). Please follow the link for further information -
