Performing Arts Academy

The Performing Arts Academy at Charles Campbell College prides itself on excellence in the Arts and is widely recognised for its innovative and applied approach in the delivery of a specialised performing arts program. Our industry experienced Arts team is committed to the development and implementation of a unique and rigorous Arts curriculum.
Students who are selected to join our Academy will have the opportunity to experience extensive instruction across their chosen performing arts disciplines during their time in the Academy.

Applications are now open for the 2024 intake.
The deadline for receipt of registration for our Selective Entry Performing Arts Academy is Friday 5 May 2023.

Audition
Music: Perform a prepared piece on the instrument of their choice (including voice).
Drama: Perform a short monologue using one of the two scripts provided here.
Dance: Perform combinations as directed plus a short choreographic exercise. Additional information is available here.
Interview
Applicants will meet with the Arts teachers to discuss their interest, experience and commitment to the Performing Arts.
What to bring to your audition:
1.Water bottle and food for recess.
2.Wear appropriate attire for their audition. It is suggested that this includes clothing that will allow ease of movement for the Dance
audition activity.
3.ED 170 Consent Form and Student Health Information. If your child has a Health Care Plan as indicated on the ED170 form they will be requested to bring a copy of the plan and all necessary medication according to their Health Care Plan. Students will be supported in taking their medication,
if necessary
