Reading Challenge
This is the seventeenth year of the Premier's Reading Challenge in South Australia.
The Premier is challenging South Australian students from Reception to Year 12 to read twelve books by 4 September 2020. This challenge continues, with over 132,300 students completing the Challenge in 2019. Many students educated at home also took part in the Challenge.
Almost 97 per cent of South Australian schools had students completing the Challenge. That's an outstanding achievement for the state.
Charles Campbell College had 154 students participate in last year’s challenge, let’s make it our goal to beat that.!!!!
The Premier's Reading Challenge continues to be an important initiative that supports the State Government's commitment to improve the literacy skills of young South Australians and encourage them to enjoy reading.
All information about the Challenge is on the Premier's Reading Challenge website at http://www.prc.sa.edu.au.
We have booklets at the library desk of Premier Reading Challenge titles and authors that the students can use to get the right book for their year level. Many of the books in the library are marked with Premier Reading Challenge stickers. It's easy!
Around November, those that participate in 2020 will receive an award for completing the challenge.
